Bones

Bones from my studio: ( left) Eskimo sculpture made from whalebone and (right) a sheep’s jawbone picked up from walking on the Ochils.

Well, this got me thinking about Luminate , a new festival on ageing  launched this month in Scotland and this quote from Confucius.

“Old age, believe me, is a good and pleasant thing. It is true you are gently shouldered off the stage, but then you are given such a comfortable front stall as spectator."
